So this one is just ridiculous. Why do I want a tea tray? My apartment is small, and it takes me all of three seconds to carry any article of food from one side of it to the other. But look, as soon as you put something on a tray – especially any sort of tea or breakfast or, let’s say, biscuit snack – its appeal suddenly doubles. Am I wrong? I don’t think I’m wrong. I just want to take advantage of the math, you know; I can’t be blamed for that.

Hahaha, this one is great
I have to admit, I think you are right… a tray does add enjoyment to the offering. It feels more important and I feel more grateful for it.
I like that reasoning. The little bit of extra formality goes a long way.
It’s fun to make these realizations sometimes.
A tea tray is a hover board for good manners, a sandbox where the tide is out, and a stage for the latest dinner or breakfast theatre…
I want all of this on a bumper sticker. Also, it occurs to me that you’d make a good riddling sphinx.
Trueee and ingenious name btw
Now I want one. :)
I imagine it feels very Edwardian. That’s usually a pretty good justification right there. Also, eating in bed.
Yes, you’re right, it’s totally Edwardian.
Definitely not wrong! I love putting my food and drinks on a wooden slab to eat them. Especially if I can eat them in bed. It makes them tastier and more enjoyable somehow.
There’s a thought! I could probably find myself a nice wooden slab, and it would serve just as well in most respects.
im so happy to see you posting here more often. on topic, i own a tv tray, but one with a nice flowery pattern. it makes me feel fancy and lazy at the same time
Now that you mention it, my family used to have a bunch of flowery-patterned tv trays! Maybe that’s the origin of my adult tea tray needs.
